Slotted sides and bottom for plenty of drainage in a heavy duty round azalea pot. Slots on the sides are many and the whole bottom is slotted. Easy to tell if more water is needed. Plastic pot costs are mainly in the amount of plastic used to make the pot; these are very heavy so they cost a little more than other pots the same size. UV inhibitor added to make them last a long time.
