This is an indoor dial-type analog hygrometer. It indicates relative humidity as a percent along with the comfort zone. The comfort zones range from Very Dry, Dry, Normal, to Humid. The 08856 is ideal for use in your greenhouse, home, work environment, or any indoor location where you want to view the humidity at a glance.

 

This AcuRite humidity gauge is preset at the factory and does not need to be calibrated. You will need to perform an initial "moisture charge" by laying the 08856 on its back over a damp towel for several minutes. Make sure that the pointer moves above 80%. If the humidity gauge becomes inacurate over time simply perform another "moisture charge."

 

This humidity gauge is free-standing and is not designed to be wall mounted.
